A great light snack or addition to a charcuterie board.
To make Halloumi with a Spicy Black Seed Honey Drizzle you will need the following ingredients:
100 ml natural honey
½ teaspoon black seeds
½ teaspoon coriander seeds
½ teaspoon chili flakesFreshly ground black pepper to taste
500 g halloumi
Zest and juice of one lemon
1 tablespoon of olive oil
Method:
Crush the black seeds, coriander seeds, and chili flakes in a mortar and pestle. You can also blitz them in your food processor. The consistency should be that of a fine powder.
Add the crushed ingredients to the honey and stir through.
Set the honey aside for a few hours to infuse. (You can make this the day before).
Heat the olive oil in a frying pan.
Cut up your halloumi into about eight pieces and fry in the pan for up to five minutes. Your halloumi should have a golden brown color and a crisp texture.
